Troubleshooting

Start with the symptom you can observe. Apply one change at a time, then measure between VUSB and GND again.

No 5 V on VUSB with a USB-C charger or a USB-C to USB-C cableThe board has no resistors on CC1 and CC2. A USB-C power source waits for them before it turns the 5 V on.Connect a 5.1 kΩ resistor from CC1 to GND and another from CC2 to GND. A USB-A to USB-C cable supplies 5 V without them.
Your device needs a faster link than USB 2.0The board carries only D+ and D-. It has no SuperSpeed pairs.Use USB 2.0 speeds with this board.
The board does not sit in the breadboardThe header pins come unsoldered.Solder the header to the bottom of the board, the side opposite the socket.

Still blocked?​

Ask on the community forum. Include the following so someone can reproduce it:

  • product name and SKU: 3x Soldered USB-C female vertical connector breakout, 333155
  • the cable or charger you plugged in, and what it normally powers
  • the voltage you measure between VUSB and GND
  • how the pins are wired, and whether CC1 and CC2 have resistors
  • a clear photo of the wiring
