Troubleshooting
Start with the symptom you can observe. Apply one change at a time, then measure
between VUSB and GND again.
| Symptom | Check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
No voltage on VUSB with the board plugged into a USB-C charger or port | The board has no pull-down on CC1. A USB-C charger or port switches VUSB on only when it sees 5.1 kΩ from CC1 to GND. | Connect a 5.1 kΩ resistor from CC1 to GND, or connect a USB PD controller to CC1. The board's VUSB maximum is 5 V, so set the PD controller to request 5 V only. |
| The board does not sit in the breadboard | The two 5-pin headers come unsoldered. | Solder the headers on, or wire straight to the pads. |

- product name and SKU: 3x Soldered USB-C male connector breakout,
333156 - the USB-C port or charger you plugged the board into
- the voltage you measure between
VUSBandGND - what is connected to
CC1 - how the other pins are wired
- a clear photo of the wiring
